When Heaven and Earth were created, races of High Men were given a continent to populate. They utilised the natural resources of the land and began to found the seeds of civilization. The Seraphim, angelic deputies of God, were assigned to help the High Men, and mingled freely with the humans in small bastions set up to hold the wilderness at bay.
As their numbers increased, the High Men began to form tribes, which then gradually gave birth to new nations all over the continent. The study of Science, Politics, Art, Economy and Religion were developed by combining the teachings of the Seraphs and the inherent intelligence of High Men. Technology and Theology rose to the forefront of culture, while the practice of both Arcane and Natural forms of magic was reserved to a select few. |
